Brooklyn-based musician Sam Allen first picked up a guitar at age ten to play Clash and Ramones songs with friends in the school cafeteria, and has been writing, recording, and performing ever since. A graduate of the Studio Production program at SUNY Purchase (B.M., 2011), Sam combines deep knowledge of music theory, arranging, and recording with an instinctive love of all things music.
With more than 15 years of teaching experience, Sam offers private and group guitar lessons, in person and online, for players of all ages. Before launching his own practice, he taught at NYC Guitar School, where he was recognized as a high-impact instructor and mentored new teachers.
Sam’s production work spans full albums, singles, mixing, and audio editing for artists across genres, from folk and synth-based pop to good old-fashioned rock ’n’ roll. He thrives on collaboration, helping every artist find that unique spark that makes a listener say, “This track RULES.”
As guitarist and co-songwriter for the New York rock band WYLDLIFE, Sam has released albums on Steven Van Zandt’s Wicked Cool Records, toured internationally, opened for childhood heroes, and earned multiple Coolest Song in the World honors on SiriusXM’s Underground Garage.
Whether you’re ready to mix a track, record an album, start guitar from scratch, or take your playing to the next level, Sam brings the experience, creativity, and enthusiasm to make it happen!
